Macadamia Nut Crusted Tilapia Fillet Recipe

Ingredients for Macadamia Nut Crusted Tilapia:

  • 2 (4-ounce) tilapia fillets
  • ½ cup unsalted macadamia nuts
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons coconut oil
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

How to Cook Tilapia in Oven:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Rinse the tilapia with cold water, pat dry with a paper towel, and place on the lined baking sheet.
  3. Place the macadamia nuts, parsley, and lemon juice in a food processor and pulse/chop until the mixture is slightly chunkier than breadcrumb consistency. Be sure not to overblend, or you will end up with nut butter.
  4. Top each fillet with 1 teaspoon of the coconut oil and then macadamia nut mixture, pressing it into the fish. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, until the top is crisp and slightly golden brown. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Note: Pairs well with asparagus.
